It’s been several days now and still no patch to fix any of these issues. It is very clear to me that the publisher said screw the polish, just release it. However, the constant slowdowns (even at reduced graphics settings), animation bugs, floating heads (armor doesnt load on background characters), and camera bugs definitly take away from the experience. “It is unacceptable to release a AAA game in such a buggy and unoptimized state. Machines that not only meet, but far exceed the game’s recommended specs are chugging along at frame rates far lower than they should be. Unfortunately, it’s got more than a few performance issues that are causing some fans a word of upset. The game has been hailed as a masterpiece by just about everyone who’s played it, and for good reason. The turn-based, strategic squad shooter hits all the right notes when it comes to staving off an alien invasion.

If you are playing WotC the instructions are mostly the same, but everything has to be done in the WotC game folder i.e. XComMod file is present in that folderįinally you have to manually enable each mod by going toĪnd type an entry for every mod you wish to enable

Rengaru: Since this version doesn't come with a launcher, you have to do everything manually. I installed from the offline installers but I noticed when I ran galaxy the main game was listed as installed but the dlc was not so I verified with galaxy and it downloaded missing files, so perhaps try that if you not are rabidly opposed to galaxy as some people are.Īpologies if I am not explaining this very well, I'm recovering from eye surgery and can't see very well so I'm struggling with typing at the moment.

I'd prefer to not use galaxy but my experiece tells me to use it as a bloated downloader/verifier/updater, I never run games through galaxy. I also had problems with pillars of eternity. Yes it would still run i.e.one quest in risen 2 can't be completed because the bodies are missing, if you install or verify with galaxy it then works. It does look as if something has gone wrong with the install, the only differance between our installs is me verifying with galaxy. I'll have to give the SteamWorkshop.download thing a look.Īnd no, I'm not using anything currently in terms of configuration tools.
